Description: In order to combat malnutrition in the African region a number of countries have identified staple foods suitable for fortification. This material was prepared in accordance with the technical specification for the manufacture of: Super Cereal - Corn Soya Blend with Sugar, as published by the World Food Programme. In order to support the trade of fortified food products as well as ensure their safety, NMISA is therefore providing proficiency tests (PTs) and reference materials (RMs) for Vitamin A and other nutritional parameters in various regionally consumed and exported food products. These will assist laboratories in demonstrating measurement comparability and continued laboratory competence for these parameters, in support of the AfCFTA aims ''tested once, accepted everywhere".
