Description: Achieving metrological traceability for organic calibrators used in the accurate quantification of contaminants in traded commodities is an international challenge. Mycotoxins, amongst others, are organic contaminants released by fungi, present on various agricultural commodities. These toxins are extremely harmful and strictly regulated, thus their accurate quantification demands the use of reliable certified reference materials (CRMs) calibrators. NMISA has therefore release a suite of mycotoxin certified reference material solutions to provide traceability for these measurements, a requirement for ISO 17025 accredited laboratories. Testing laboratories in the region can now have easier and more affordable access to these certified reference materials.
